Service Description:

A fully operational police division providing Uniform Patrol and Criminal Investigative Services

Staffed 24 hours a day to facilitate walk-in reporting of minor offences or vehicle collisions
Background check request done through the front desk during normal business hours
Patrol Officers respond to calls for service, protecting life and property, preventing occurrences and ensuring public safety
Community Liaison Officers and Community Mobilization teams maintain ties with the community and participate in programs that are designed at strengthening community relations
Criminal Investigation Bureau investigates criminal offences that occur within the Divisional boundaries and work closely with agencies when criminal activity extends across multiple jurisdictions. Units within this bureau include: Domestic Violence, Robbery, Break and Enter, Auto Theft, and Criminal Warrants and Recognizances
Neighbourhood Policing Unit place officers in area high schools to maintain a presence with the youth population and work directly with teachers and parents to ensure youth are on the right path to a great future
Bicycle Patrol Officers patrol parks, pathways and wooded areas of 21 Division and they are also used at special functions (parades and special events)
