Service Description:

Offer a home-based early childhood education program that teaches parents to be their preschool child's first teacher and prepares their 2, 3, 4, and 5-year-old children for success in school.

Home Visitors meet weekly with parents in their own homes (in Oakville, Milton, and Burlington) to role-play the 30-week research-based curriculum using Canadian materials to teach pre-reading, pre-writing, and pre-math skills
Parents are supported by their Home Visitors and by the activity packets that make learning and play more fun
1 group meetings are held each month for mothers with guest speakers to discuss parenting topics while their children participate in an Early Childhood Education program

SMART - Supporting Mothers and Raising Toddlers

For children aged 18 - 36 months
Home Visitors demonstrate how to get maximum play and educational value from the toys and books we supply
Parents will learn 78 activities to share with their children throughout the program
