The department includes six divisions: * Recreation, *Parks and Forestry, * Library Services, *Fire and Emergency Services, *Culture, *Environment * direct service provider to the community in the areas of recreation and leisure programs, cultural programs, museums, libraries and fire and emergency services * responsible for the planning, maintenance and operation of parks, boulevards, community centres, arenas, pools, libraries, fire halls, and museums
