Service Description:

Emergency room care * doctors, nurses, and other health professionals assess and treat life-threatening injuries or severe illness- all patients are initially triaged by a registered nurse and are seen on a priority-basis, not a first-come first-served basis
- all patients are assessed and prioritized using the Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS), based on the patient’s complaint and the signs and symptoms they may be exhibiting
Emergency Department (ED) wait times are estimates for information only, are not guaranteed, and can change significantly and immediately * patients will be seen based on their medical condition and the severity of their situation
