Bereavement Peer Support Now Accepting Clients Across Halton

Our new Bereavement Peer Support program is open and accepting clients across Halton.

Trained volunteers are now available to provide free, one-on-one support to adults struggling to cope with the death of a loved one. This includes people bereaved due to the death of a spouse, partner, parent, sibling or friend.

Self referrals and/or referrals from other agencies are welcome.

To access the Bereavement Peer Support program, email Mary Schnurr or call 905-827-8800 x2319.

Note: We do not offer professional grief counselling through this service, and we are unable to accept people experiencing complicated grief or those grieving the loss of a child. Referrals for professional grief counselling will be coordinated on a case-by-case basis.
