Service Description: Community crisis service offering timely response to adults (16+) experiencing

Crisis team may include:
  • Registered Social Workers
  • Registered Nurses
  • Registered Occupational Therapists
  • Registered Psychotherapists
  • Specially trained plain-clothed police officers
  • individuals having difficulties coping
  • family, caregivers and friends needing support




Note: not an emergency response unit * in a life-threatening emergency call 911

Program operates in partnership with Punjabi Community Health Services, Roots Community Services, Peel Regional Police Service and Caledon

Crisis support is offered over the crisis line and in-person in Peel Region and Dufferin County. Crisis support is offered over the crisis line in West Woodbridge and North Etobicoke

Crisis services offered:

  • Crisis Line - for people who need immediate support
  • Mobile Visits - for people who need a more in-depth mental health assessment and safety plan. Can take up to 24 hours to arrange
  • Rapid Response - triggered by a live 911 call or referral that requires rapid mental health or addiction crisis support

Application: Interested individuals can contact CMHA/Peel for referrals or more information
Eligibility / Target Population: Adults 16 years and older with mental health or addiction crisis or individuals having difficulty coping
Languages: English
Language Notes: Translation and interpretation is available for most languages. Kindly notify If interpretation services are needed
