Service Description: Tax Related Assistance for Seniors and Persons with Disabilities:
  • property owners who are over the age of 65, or persons with disabilities, whose combined household income does not exceed $46,600 can apply for a property tax deferral for the year-over year tax increase
  • deferred taxes are registered as a lien on the property and are repayable upon the sale of the property
  • property owners over the age of 65 with a combined household income not exceeding $29,306 (other eligibility criteria apply) may apply for an annual tax rebate of $500

Application: application and Notice of Assessment (for each resident residing at the property) from Revenue Canada must be in before November 30th of current year
