Service Description: A non-profit organization established to assist adults with physical disabilities

Housing and Attendant Services help adults live in their communities and fully participate in the activities of daily living * the service is non-medical and the service philosophy is to support independent, responsible living by the adult with a physical disability

Deborah's Home
  • a residence for five adults with physical disabilities requiring 24 hour personal and homemaker support

Attendant Outreach
  • a service designed to meet the needs of 30 or more adults with physical disabilities
  • personal and homemaking support is provided to eligible adults in their own home, workplace, or education site in Halton Region

Fees: Service - Deborah's Home charges rent on a geared-to-income basis * None - for Attendant Outreach program - Personal support services; sliding scale for Attendant Ourtreach program - Homemaking & Companion Services only
Application: Applications for participation in Independent Living Halton programs can be downloaded from the website and completed or call the main office directly for an application

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Deborah's Home: Clients must be age 16 or older, qualify for rent subsidy, require a wheelchair accessible living environment and be physically disabled
Attendant Outreach:
Persons with a physical disability age 16 or older * has a valid OHIP card * has the ability to direct their own personal support and homemaking services
